Statement and Conclusion Reasoning Questions for OSSC

In this question, a statement is given followed by two conclusions numbered 1 and 2. You have to assume everything in the statement to be true, then consider the two conclusions together and decide which of them logically follows beyond a reasonable doubt from the information given in the statement.

Choose the appropriate one from the following options

01. Statement:  Rohan will announce his retirement after 2020 Olympics.

Conclusion:

  1. Rohan will participate in 2020 Olympics.
  2. Rohan is a veteran player.

02. Statement: Company X has stopped manufacturing its product temporarily.

Conclusion:

  1. The company X is unable to pay its labours which is one of the reasons to stop production.
  2. The company X will stop production permanently.

03. Statement: Sunil always eats vegetarian food whenever he goes to XYZ restaurant.

Conclusion:

  1. Sunil likes vegetarian food prepared in XYZ restaurant.
  1. XYZ is a restaurant famous for vegetarian food.

04. Statement: Only Automobiles and Auto parts, are considered as luxury goods. ABC Ltd., produces auto parts.

Conclusions:

  1. ABC Ltd., produces luxury goods.
  2. ABC Ltd., doesn’t produce Automobiles.

05. Statement: It rains every Friday. Today is Friday.

Conclusion:

  1. It will rain today.
  2. It will stop raining tomorrow.

06. Statement: Mary’s teacher gifts a pilot pen whenever she scores centum in Mathematics. Mary scored a centum.

Conclusions:

  1. Mary received a gift from her teacher.
  2. Mathematics is the toughest subject.

07. Statement: Sachin scored a total of 200 in 2 matches.

Conclusion:

10. Statement: Vinod is a good cricketer.

Conclusion:

  1. Vinod bats well.
  2. Vinod plays other sports too.

11. Statement: The truth is that we Indians have more rules and regulations – we take 90 daysto start a small business whereas Australians take two.
