Pre-requisites for Online Registration for OSSSC Odisha Excise Constable Recruitment 2026

• Full Specimen Signature of the applicant, scanned “JPG/JPEG/PNG format (20Kbs to 50 Kbs)
• Recent Passport size coloured photograph, scanned in “JPG/JPEG/PNG” format (20Kbs to 100 Kbs)

Eligibility Criteria

AGE:- 21 -32 years. The age limit will be calculated as on 1st January 2025.

Educational Qualification:- (10+2) or Equivalent by CHSE Odisha

A candidate must be able to speak, read and write Odia and must have

• Passed the Middle School Examination with Odia as a Language Subject
• Or Passed Matriculation or Equivalent Exam with Odia as medium of examination in Non-language Subject
• Or Passed a test in Odia in M. E School standard conducted by the School and Mass Education Department.

• Exam Duration – 90 Minutes
• There will be negative marking of 0.25 for each wrong answer.
• Questions will be asked in bilingual form (Odia and English), except for the Odia and English language papers.

Selection Procedure

• The commission shall prepare a list of candidates who obtain minimum qualifying marks i.e. 35% (30% for SC, ST, PwD, Ex- Service Men and Sports Person)in the Written Examination as fixed by commission in their discretion, for the next stage Physical Test.
• A minimum of three times the number of Vacancies may called for Physical Test.
• Candidates qualifying the Physical Test will be shortlisted for document verification.
• Candidates numbering minimum 1.25 times of the vacancies shall be shortlisted for Certificate Verification.
• The select list of the candidates found suitable in certificate verification shall be prepared in order of merit category-wise as per vacancies based on their sum of total of marks secured in written examination.
